Miss Cure Kids Fiji, Buli Wainiqolo has won the Best Talent Award at the Vodafone Hibiscus Festival Queens Talent Night last night.
Wainiqolo who is using the pageant to advocate on Rheumatic Heart Disease says as a person living with Rheumatic Heart Disease people should not let their condition stop them from being someone they truly want to be.
The 18‑year‑old says that her message in this year’s Hibiscus Festival is that Rheumatic Heart Disease can be prevented.
Wainiqolo hopes to inspire children who live with various life threatening conditions.
Meanwhile it was a sister to sister hand over in the Princess Category as Princess Qoma, Divine Smith was crowned last night as the Princess Hibiscus 2017. The crown was handed to her by her older sister Precious Smith ‑ Hibiscus Princess 2016.
Princess Qoma, Divine Smith also won the Best Talent Award in the Princess Category.
The second Queens Public Judging will begin at 7 tonight at the Bank of Baroda tent while the crowning of the Teen contestants will be also be at 7 at the main stage.
Miss Vodafone Hibiscus will be crowned this Saturday and will represent Suva in the Miss Fiji Pageant.
