Miss American Samoa Gwendolyn To'omalatai was crowned as the 2017 Miss Pacific Islands last night at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
The 23-year-old who is a Nursing student at the University of Hawaii also took out the Miss Photogenic, Miss National Tourism Award and Best Traditionally Inspired Attire.
In other categories Miss Samoa Alexandra Iakopo who is also the 1st runner scooped the Miss Internet Award, Miss Personality Award, Best Talent Award and the Best Interview.
Meanwhile Miss Papua New Guinea, Niawali Twain took the Best Sarong Award.
Fiji’s Hally Qaqa was 2nd runner up and Miss Cook Islands, Enerstina Bonsu was the 3rd Runner Up.
Tonga will be hosting the 2018 Miss Pacific Islands Pageant.
