Ministry works on improving living standard for squatter seetlements

More than two hundred squatter settlements in the greater Suva area make up seven per cent of the National total population.

This is according to Local Government Housing Director Kolinio Bola as the Ministry is currently working on improving living standards for people living in squatter settlement in the greater Suva area.

Bola said the ministry is currently working on 6 projects in development and upgrading infrastructure works with squatter settlement in these areas.

He said once the whole sub division process is completed the issuance of leases will be issued.
