Ministry of Foreign Affairs gathers information on allegation of Fijian women taken to PNG to provide sexual services to Ministers

The Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jone Usamate says that the Ministry is trying to collect as much information as possible with regards to the allegation of Fijian women being taken to Papua New Guinea to provide sexual services to PNG Cabinet Ministers.

Usamate says that the government has been in touch with counterparts in PNG.

He says that they are in the process of clarifying all the issues with regards to this case adding that they have been told by Police that they are trying to get to the bottom of this issue.

Usamate says that they are hopeful that this issue can be cleared up as soon as possible.

It has been widely reported in PNG that Fijian women were allegedly transported to PNG to provide sexual services for the Ministers there.

According to PNG Media, 12 Fijian women were seen at a hotel while they have also alleged that hotel staff say that there were about 20 or so women.
