Managing Director of Fiji Chemicals Limited Darren Fisher and Minister for Education Premila Kumar.

The Ministry of Education has today received $90,000 worth of hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes and disinfectant cleaners from Fiji Chemicals Limited.

Minister for Education, Premila Kumar acknowledged the company and says the assistance will go a long way in keeping our children safe.

She says it is extremely crucial that our vaccination rate in schools must increase because so far the eligible students are only 12 years and above but there are children who are 5 years and above who are not eligible for vaccines.

She adds the only way they can protect these children is by making sure the adult population and children above 12 years are all vaccinated.

The Managing Director of Fiji Chemicals Limited, Darren Fisher says they are happy to help as he is a father of four and knows what needs to go in getting our schools ready for children.
