Ministry for Information apolgises to Pareti
Permanent Secretary for Information Sharon Smith-Johns

The Permanent Secretary for Information has today apologised to Islands Business Editor, Samisoni Pareti for basing their decision to refuse his accreditation to the Pacific Islands Development Forum on what now appears to be incorrect information.

Sharon Smith-Johns said this was the result of miscommunication between the Ministry and the Media Industry Development Authority.

Smith-Johns said that she has launched a full investigation into the matter to make sure that an incident like this is not repeated in the future.
