Ministry agrees grog is like a drug

The Ministry of Health agrees with the National Substance Abuse Advisory Council that grog is like a drug and should not be consumed.

Speaking to Fijivillage, deputy secretary for Public Health Dr Joe Koroivueta said grog is a drug because after drinking it a person feels and thinks differently.

He added young people should be told not to partake in grog and it should be a message to everyone that grog causes high risk of physical inactivity.
