Minister for Employment, Parveen Bala says work has begun to review the national minimum wage rate.

While responding to President Jioji Konrote's opening address in parliament, Bala said that he is concerned that SODELPA MP, Lynda Tabuya has missed the news that the minimum wage review began early this year.

Bala says this has been widely publicised earlier this year.

The current national minimum wage rate is $2.68.
