Minister for Education Rosy Akbar says whenever our children go to an international stage to represent Fiji, it’s a proud moment for other children, parents and teachers of our country.
Akbar made this comment as she farewelled students from Tamavua Primary School who will participate in the Bridge Kids Summer Camp Tour to Japan.
Akbar adds about 180 children have been sent in the past and next year other children will be sent to represent our country.
The Minister highlighted the Ministry strongly believes that children must be given all opportunities and this is one such opportunity where they will be travelling abroad and gaining a lot of overseas exposure as well.
Akbar congratulated the four students from Tamavua Primary School and wished them well on their journey and advised the students to look after themselves, to eat well and enjoy the experience.
