The Fiji Minibus Association has welcomed the recommendation put forward by the Ministry of Justice and Anti-Corruption to set up a Complaints Unit within the LTA for one year.
General Secretary Epineri Waqabaca says the recommendation is timely because they often face problems with lodging their complaints with the LTA.
He says in the recent past most of their complaints regarding some drivers operating on some routes illegally has not been addressed.
The association is hoping the report will encourage more transparency within the LTA.
Waqabaca says it is positive that the Ministry has also recommended that PSV licenses should be first issued to people from a low-income background.
