Meli Bainimarama, the son of Fiji’s former Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, will remain in custody until the end of the month in Australia as his bail was not applied for and it has been refused.
According to the Parramatta Court, Meli Bainimarama is facing domestic violence related charges which include alleged assault occasioning actual bodily harm, allegedly destroying or damaging property and allegedly intentionally choking a person without consent.
The matter is listed for mention on 31st January before the Parramatta Court.
The application for apprehended domestic violence order is listed for 23rd July this year.
