McConnell and Cornish win gold in Tennis Men’s Doubles

Team Fiji's William McConnell and Charles Storm Cornish have secured gold for Fiji in the Tennis Men’s Doubles.

They beat Tuvalu in 2 straight sets of 7-5 and 6-2.

Our Powerlifters also added to the medal haul with Salacieli Tamanitadruku getting a silver in the 105kg and Kurt Wise also with a silver in the 120+ kg.

The 4x400m Men's relay team also got silver.

Team Fiji’s Boxing captain Jone Davule won his semi final bout and is a medal contender in his finals later today.

Fiji is currently sixth with 16 gold, 24 silver and 30 bronze.

New Caledonia is leading with 73 gold, 51 silver and 50 bronze while Tahiti has moved up to second with 46 gold, 48 silver and 47 bronze.
