Fiji got a huge plug worldwide after the historic fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, thanks to Mayweather.

Mayweather was seen drinking Fiji Water during the post fight interview.

The biggest global pay‑TV audience in sporting history – an estimated 200 million viewers — watched the Mayweather‑McGregor ‘Fight of the Century’ from Las Vegas.

In Australia, Foxtel’s Main Event reported ‘unprecedented’ interest to watch the world’s greatest boxer against the UFC’s martial arts machine in pubs, clubs and homes across the country.

It broke the record for all previews events in Australia.

Fight promoters and the Showtime network also hired the world’s leading cyber security experts and legal teams on standby in the biggest crackdown on internet piracy for a major sporting event.

The fight grossed 140 million Australian dollars in gate takings alone at Las Vegas’ T‑Mobile Arena, which was sold out (capacity 20,000) with an average ticket price of 7000 Australian dollars.

The cheapest seats with restricted view sold for 2200 Australian dollars while the best ringside seats went for up to 150,000 Australian dollars snapped up by the billionaire casino owners, high‑rollers, sporting superstars and Hollywood celebrities.

More than 50 million people alone watched in the US where it cost $A125 to buy the event on the Showtime network.
