Members of the Ma’unatul Islam Association of Fiji Lautoka Branch today distributed 30 food packs to the most needy families in the Western Division.

These families who are from Ba, Tavua, Lautoka and Sabeto have been struggling to put food on the table and some of them have been unemployed since last year.

Each food pack contains flour, rice, cooking oil, noodles, tuna, milk, sugar, tea leaves, eggs, onion, potato, dhal, chana, salt, bathing soap and soap powder.

They will also be giving sanitary pads to families who need it.

President, Mohammed Rafiq says their members have contributed for this initiative.

Rafiq says the assistance is not limited to their members and they will also be distributing the food packs to people of other religious beliefs.

You can call Mohammed Rafiq on 9122077 if you want to assist the Association in helping people who need assistance.
