Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of LegendFM, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang and Radio Sargam, has announced that the company’s Chairman, Matt Wilson will retire from the board at CFL’s AGM on the 30th of this month and Josephine Yee Joy will be the new board member.
CFL Group founder, William Parkinson will succeed Wilson as chair.
CFL is the region’s largest radio broadcaster operating stations and other ventures in Fiji and Papua New Guinea.
The board sought applications for a replacement for Wilson.
After comprehensive interviews with a number of candidates, the board unanimously endorsed Yee Joy to fill the vacancy of independent director.

CFL says Yee Joy brings broad expertise as a director as she has served in senior executive positions locally and internationally and has a record of leadership in the wider community.
Her appointment is part of a change process positioning the CFL Group for the future.

Wilson, CFL’s co‑founder, said after more than 30 years as a director, and six as chair, it is time for him to step down to concentrate on other interests.
He said it has been his privilege to work with William Parkinson and board members to build CFL from a one‑station operation housed in a wooden building in Suva, into a profitable Fiji trans national corporation.
