Crusaders loose forward Pablo Matera has been cleared to play in Saturday night’s Super Rugby Pacific final against the Blues despite his double yellow cards in last weekend’s semifinal and a total of four this season.
The former Argentinian captain went in front of the SANZAAR judicial committee last night after his two offences in the win against the Chiefs in Christchurch last Friday night, and he came away with a major victory.
The judiciary ruled he would face no further sanction for his accumulated sin-binnings after it was determined that there was “no pattern of concern”.
The Crusaders will name their side to face the Blues tomorrow.
The Crusaders will meet the Blues at 7.05pm Saturday at Eden Park in Auckland.
