FIJI Water Flying Fijian hooker Sam Matavesi says the Pacific Battle Series match against Japan tonight will be tough and that is why the game is at night.
Four years ago, Japan and Fiji met in Kamaishi, Iwate Prefecture, prior to that year's World Cup, with the hosts running out a 34-21 winner on a sweltering day.
Matavesi says the captain's run yesterday was a walk through because it was so hot.
He says he believes Fiji is a different team from four years ago as they have prepared a lot differently and a lot better, so hopefully it will be a much better result for them tonight.
Japan assistant coach Tony Brown, however, is hoping for more of the same.
He says that game was a massive confidence boost ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup and they plan to do the same so they can go to France with a lot of confidence.
The Flying Fijians take on Japan at 10.15 tonight.
