All vendors at Lautoka Market are wearing masks and gloves, have a hand sanitiser each and are also writing details like names, addresses and mobile numbers of all the customers that are visiting their stalls.

Lautoka Market Vendors Association President Filomena Ditukana says these information will be useful for the Health Ministry to track people for possible screening should there be a need.

Ditukana says some vendors from Tavakubu, Namoli, Golf Link Crescent and those living outside Lautoka have been affected as they cannot come to the market to sell their produce.

She adds there has been smooth transition of the delivery of vegetables and root crops from the respective borders.
