Marist 7s: Men’s cup quarter-finals confirmed

Defending champion, Fiji are through to the quarter-finals of the 47th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s after thrashing Lavena Reds 31-0 in the second round of elimination.

The side has the services of current national 7s squad and also extended squad.

Duibana 7s side created a major upset this morning, defeating Army Red 22-12 to claim a spot in the quarter-finals.

Other teams that have qualified to the men’s cup quarter-finals are Wardens Gold, Lavidi Brothers, Police White, Army Green and Police Blue.

Looking at the results from the second round of eliminations, Wardens Gold beat Ravuka Sharks 15-0, Lavidi Brothers thumped Bula Brothers 1 21-0, Police White edged Tabadamu 7-5, Army Green beat Veiqaravi Nadroga/Navosa 17-12 and Police Blue defeated Bula Brothers 2 33-0.

The men’s cup quarterfinals will start at 2.15pm today, the semifinals will begin at 5.25 this afternoon and the final will be held at 7.35 tonight.
