Mara will not be allowed in Solomons-Philip

The Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, Danny Philip, said he will not grant entry to Ratu Tevita Mara if he attempts to visit because they will stick to their current policy..

Ratu Tevita, who faces charges of sedition in Fiji, is in Australia and said he is planning to travel around the Pacific.

Philip told Australia Network he could not afford to damage Solomon Island's relationship with Fiji.

He said Solomon Islands have just made peace with Fiji and the Melanesian Spearhead Group, and they cannot afford to have anything else put some more cracks into the relationship.

The Solomon Islands Prime Minister said he will stick to his policy of embracing Fiji for some time.
