Fiji Airways Men’s 7s coach Ben Gollings believes that Sireli Maqala and Aminiasi Tuimaba will provide strength and depth in their squad ahead of the Commonwealth Games this weekend.
After naming the final thirteen players, Gollings says his selection is based on what the team has already built and he did not want to disrupt the current combination with too many changes.
He adds that Maqala and Tuimaba’s inclusion is a bonus for the team.
The Commonwealth Games ceremony will be held at 6am tomorrow.
Fiji will have 64 athletes across 12 sports, including Para Athletics and Para Table Tennis, as well as Athletics, Boxing, Judo, Lawn Bowls, Rugby 7s Men and and Women, Squash, Table Tennis and Weightlifting.
