Ten-man Arsenal were completely outplayed by Manchester City as they slumped to the bottom of the English Premier League table after their 5-0 loss.
It is the first time since 1954 that Arsenal have lost their three opening games of the league season.
City captain Ilkay Gundogan and striker Ferran Torres scored in the first 12 minutes and any hope Arsenal had of an unlikely comeback was ended when midfielder Granit Xhaka was sent off for lunging into a challenge on Joao Cancelo.
In other matches this morning, Liverpool and Chelsea drew 1-1, Aston Villa and Brentford drew 1-1, Everton beat Brighton 2-0, Newcastle drew 2-2 against Southampton, Leicester beat Norwich 2-1 while West Ham drew 2-2 against Crystal Palace.
