A man who gave false information to a nurse at the CWM Hospital that he had COVID-19 will be sentenced today.
Simione Nakuna Junior is charged with one count of giving false information to a public servant.
He pleaded guilty to the charge.
According to the charge particulars, Nakuna Junior on the 25th of February this year told a staff nurse at the CWM Hospital that his name was Simione Miller.
He had also told the nurse that he had travelled from Japan and had contracted COVID-19 knowing that was false information.
