A man charged with one count each of act with intent to cause grievous harm and criminal intimidation who was previously released on bail by High Court Judge Justice Rangajeeva Wimalasena has been remanded in custody by High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo.
Justice Temo while making the decision told the man that the case is now his responsibility and the charges are very serious.
Epi Batirerega is alleged to have assaulted a man in Navosa on the 24th of January this year after which he is alleged to have threatened the man.
Justice Temo today informed Batirerega’s Counsel to file proper bail applications and if he has strong grounds, then he will be released.
The matter has been adjourned to the 7th of June.
