A man in his 50s has passed away after he was allegedly hit by a vehicle near Lovu, Lautoka yesterday afternoon.
Police say the victim is alleged to have suddenly crossed the road when he was hit by the vehicle driven by a woman in her 20s.
They say the victim was rushed to the Lautoka Hospital and was admitted at the Intensive Care Unit where he later passed away.
The road death toll currently stands at 5 compared to 1 for the same period last year.
