Man from Lakena charged with a count of sacrilege for allegedly breaking into Lakena Mosque

A 20-year-old man from Lakena has been charged with one count of sacrilege for allegedly breaking into the Lakena Mosque on Tuesday morning.

The man allegedly broke into the mosque in the process damaging louvre blades and searched the premises however he could not find anything to steal.

He was arrested by investigators from the Nausori Police Station shortly after the incident.

He will be produced in the Nausori Magistrates Court today.
