A 55-year-old man of Tavua has died while a 44-year-old man is in hospital after the locomotive they where in tumbled down the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) train lane Bridge at Lausa, Tavua. The two were carting loaded railway carts to be taken down to FSC Mill in Ba.

Divisional Police Commander Western, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Iakobo Vaisewa says the incident occurred around midday, yesterday.

SSP Vaisewa says while approaching the FSC Train lane bridge at Lausa, the locomotive tumbled towards the left side and fell into a dry creek with a few cane carts.
