A 45-year-old man charged with the rape of his mother and niece has been remanded in custody by High Court Judge, Justice Daniel Goundar.
The man is charged with three counts of rape and it is alleged that he raped his 9-year-old niece between January 2017 and June 2018 in Kadavu.
He is also charged in another matter with two counts of rape and it is alleged that he raped his 63-year-old mother between January 2016 and August 2017.
State lawyer Kimberly Semisi has sought 21 days to file information.
The case has been adjourned to the 14th of August for plea.
