The 26-year-old man charged with the murder of 6 men and attempted murder of 2 others on board a fishing vessel has been further remanded in custody by the Suva High Court this morning.
Tevita Qaqa Kapawale is charged for the murder of Qiritavabea Cagilabakomeli, Benjamin Semuel Mattaputty, Alfat Kodri, Eme Warma and Samuela Sukera.
He is also charged for the attempted murder of Kaminieli Tacama and Mitieli Cama.
The alleged incident took place on board the Tiro II while on a fishing trip in Fiji waters on 18th May last year.
The victims and Kapawale were crew members.
The matter has been adjourned to the 14th of June to hear his bail application matter.
High Court Judge, Justice Daniel Goundar has also given the DPP time to file their disclosures until the 14th of June.
