The Makoi Women’s Vocational Training Centre will be offering a free Basic Caregiving course for underprivileged women which will begin from the 29th of this month.

Centre manager Shaista Khan says this course is designed to help those women that are caring for a relative or friend who is unable to care for themselves or needs assistance in their daily activities.

Khan says this is the first time the Centre is providing this course and they have received around 30 applications already.

Khan says through these courses, the Centre helps the underprivileged women find employment and a means to financially support themselves.

The Makoi Women’s Vocational Training Centre has graduated 905 women since it started in early 2016.
