The 53rd Fiji Day celebrations this year will be held at Albert Park in Suva, Natabua Golden Age home and Churchill Park in Lautoka, Subrail Park in Labasa and Levuka on the 10th of October.
This was highlighted by Minister for Home Affairs Pio Tikoduadua during a press conference today who says the theme for this year's celebration is centred on “Rebuilding Fiji Together’’.
Tikoduadua says this is not just a theme but a pledge that through unity, perseverance, and shared purpose, we will craft a brighter future for every Fijian. He further says the celebrations will commence with a march from Suva Flea Market to Albert Park by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces including schools, government bodies, NGOs, and faith-based organisations.
The Minister says the event will also host a market day where small and medium enterprises will display their products.
He further says there will also be sporting events, music, and dance which is a testament to our strength, unity and shared vision.
Tikoduadua says there is a budget of $150,000 allocated for the Fiji Day celebrations.
