Mahendra Chaudhry is still the Fiji Labour Party Leader.
This was revealed at the Fiji Labour Party Delegates Conference which was attended by 79 people.
Chaudhry cannot contest next year’s election as he was convicted for violation of Sections of the Exchange Control Act.
Chaudhry has confirmed that new members have also been announced as executive members of the party.
The FLP leader says the party willl have to work hard in the 2018 General Elections.
He says the party has received 40 applications however the party still needs more candidates.
Chaudhry says the party is approaching people to take up candidacy.
