As Venezuela's chaotic political situation continues and the world picks sides, President Nicolas Maduro is alleging the United States orchestrated a coup to remove him from the helm of the embattled nation.

Maduro also accused Juan Guaido, the self‑proclaimed interim president and head of the opposition‑led National Assembly, of violating "the constitution and all laws.

But the world is now split on the Venezuela crisis with Bolivia, China, Cuba, Nicaragua, Russia, Syria and Turkey supporting Maduro.

While the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Brazil and few other countries support the self proclaimed Interim President Juan Guaido.

At a UN Security Council meeting, the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Venezuela under Maduro is an illegitimate mafia state but Maduro tweeted “no one is going to subdue us. We will never surrender”.
