Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Mereseini Vuniwaqa launched the ‘MV Bua ni Toba’ boat for the people of Bua last night.
The ‘MV Bua ni Toba' which is the second boat to be commissioned by the Ministry will improve service delivery for the Departments for Women and Social Welfare in Bua.
Vuniwaqa says the provision of the boat to these departments is an extension of the outreach program in taking services to the people of Bua in particular those from the five islands of Navatu, Yaqaga, Galoa, Tavewa and Yadua.
Vuniwaqa adds that the Ministry of Women now has three buses and two boats that will help the ministry in reaching remote areas.
