The sacrifices and commitments made by the girls of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School paid off after they won the 2024 Coca-Cola Games.
This has been highlighted by MGM Head Coach, Waliki Satakala who acknowledged the athletes for their hard work in the three-day competition.
He says the welfare of the athletes is an important element for them.
MGM Vice Principal, Rajeshwar Prasad says the team started preparations in December last year and the new Year 9 students started training in January.
Prasad says he is very happy with the performance of all the athletes and has thanked them for their performance.
He says they used to practice from 5am to 7am everyday.
Prasad says sports is just as important as academic development because it teaches discipline.
