Samoa's Jarome Luai says his friendship with Panthers teammate Nathan Cleary will go out the window when they lock horns with Australia in the Rugby League World Cup final after beating England 27-26 last weekend.
Luai says he expects the final between Samoa and Australia will be an exciting game as they are competitors through and through, and it's going to be a battle against one of his boys.
He adds they grew up in the same competition and haven't played each other at a high level.
Luai says World Cup is on the line despite Australia's dominance and it's a tournament even as a tier-two nation they feel they can win.
The Penrith No.6 had the option to play for the Kangaroos or the Kiwis, but his decision to represent Samoa has now paid off.
Meanwhile, Samoa captain Junior Paulo has been cleared to play in the World Cup final against Australia after receiving a caution for a lifting tackle on England prop Tom Burgess.
Samoa will face Australia at 4am this Sunday in the final of the Rugby World Cup.
