SSS Building (NZ) Labasa soccer coach Ronil Lal says the opening day loss to Navua was a reality check for the side and it was fortunate that they came back stronger in their second match of the Courts IDC.

The defending champions lost 1-0 to Navua before thrashing Nadi 4-0 and beating Ba 2-1 to qualify for the semifinal.

Lal says he had told the players straight on their faces that they were better than that and were just too lazy.

He adds they will have to plan well for the semifinal because Rewa is a quality side with a very good coach.

Labasa will play Lincoln Rewa in the second semi-final at 5pm while Fresh Choice Lautoka will play 4R Electrical Ba in the first semifinal at 3pm tomorrow.

The final is at 3pm Sunday.
