South African coach, Neil Powell admits that losing to Fiji in the final of the Sydney 7s was disappointing.
South Africa went down 12-10 to Fiji in an entertaining match played in a wet conditions at the Bankwest Stadium last Sunday.
Powell says they did not sustain the excellent form they displayed in their first four matches of the tournament, they paid the price for it.
He says they thought that they had control of the match till the end, but the Fijians exploited their mistakes and they won.
Powell is confident that they will be heading to the next tournament with a lot of confidence and momentum to put them in the place they need to be in the series.
The Men's World Series will resume in Los Angeles at the end of the month.
