Frustrations and concerns over the long traffic jams and congestion created during a minor road accident and during vehicle breakdowns may be a thing of the past.
The Land Transport Authority has set up a Special Response Team that will ensure and maintain traffic flows after observing a consistent trend of complaints from members of the travelling public.
LTA CEO Naisa Tuinaceva says the Response Team will immediately attend to any vehicle accident or breakdown and remove it from the road as quickly as possible.
Motorists who are involved in minor road accidents that result in a dent or scratch can take a photographic image of the incident or accident which would be sufficient as evidence for Police to carry out their investigation.
They can also park at an area so that it does not block, halt or disrupt traffic flow. LTA says motorists can quickly and amicably reach a settlement and drive on, and report the incident at the nearest Police Station.
