Lomaiviti Princess III to head on maiden voyage to Kadavu this Friday

People of Lau, Kadavu and Lomaiviti will no longer have to worry about their transportation to Viti Levu as Goundar Shipping Limited announced the arrival of their Lomaiviti Princess III.

Managing director George Goundar says while this was a huge achievement as the new vessel provided luxury and comfort to passengers while travelling to their destinations.

Goundar says the new boat is 38 years old and was brought in from Canada.

He says the ship has 100 aircraft seats available on board, first class, the restaurant and the economy class and they will put in 52 aircraft seats which they will fix and will make it more of a luxury and comfort experience for the sake of passengers

He says the ship also takes 40 trucks compared to the other one which only carries 28 trucks.

He adds the ship will head out for her maiden voyage to Kadavu this Friday followed by Koro, and Savusavu.
