Live tests on tsunami sirens are currently being conducted in Suva and the foreshore area.
The NDMO says evacuation is not required.
They say communities and businesses can use the tsunami siren test to identity and test their evacuation procedures in terms of their designated tsunami safe route and safe assembly areas and zones.
The Office says that it is also important for the public to get acquainted with the sound of the tsunami early warning sirens.
