A survey done in the Suva-Nasinu corridor shows there are a limited stock of one litre Rewa Life milk in supermarkets and corner shops.
Consumer Council of Fiji, Chief Executive Officer Premila Kumar said that they found three major supermarkets completely without the Rewa life milk.
Kumar said that the limited stock has prompted traders to place limits on the sale of Rewa Life per customer which is very disturbing and frustrating particularly for Hindus now as milk is an essential item used to make sweets and food and used in prayers during Diwali.
She said the Council continues to receive complaints from frustrated consumers on the matter and are calling on Fiji Dairy Limited in ensuring that essential dairy products supply meets consumer demand.
