Milika Lewairavu of Naitasiri Secondary School has won the first gold medal in the girls sub-junior 1,500 metres event at the Coca-Cola Games 2023.
Lewairavu broke away from the rest of the pack in the last 200 metres, and there was no looking back from there.
Kalisi Dama of Seaqaqa Central College took the silver while Ester Nasici settled for the bronze medal.

Laisiana Tikoitukuna has won the second gold medal for Naitasiri Secondary School in the junior girls 1,500 metres event at the Coca-Cola Games 2023.
Naomi Qalo of Nasesevia Secondary School settled for silver while Sera Marama of Naitasiri Secondary took out the bronze medal.
The 1,500 metres finals are currently underway.
