Japan's Captain Michael Leitch has warned quarter-final opponents South Africa that lightning can strike twice.
Japan won their last pool match against Scotland 28-21 last week to top Pool A with 19 points and reach the knockout stage for the first time in their history.
Leitch says this team has been grown so much and it is scary to think how far this team can grow as seen in the last game they have been getting better each time with their confidence growing.
He says it will be a tough game against the Springboks but they are well prepared for them and the most important thing they have to do is to start from zero and build up piece by piece.
South Africa battered Japan 41-7 in their Rugby World Cup warm-up last month, but Leitch insisted that they would have no bearing when the teams meet in Tokyo this weekend.
In the Rugby World Cup quarterfinals, Australia will face England at 7.15pm this Saturday, the All Blacks take on Ireland at 10.15pm this Saturday while France will play Wales at 7.15pm this Sunday.
Japan will face South Africa in the last quarterfinal at 10.15pm this Sunday.
