As part of building community resilience to the harmful effects of climate change along Suva’s coastline, 20 members of the Leadership Fiji 2013 group planted mangroves along the Nasese seawall this morning.
Spokesperson Teuila Dumaru said they agreed on this project as it has endless benefits for the people, land, sea and marine organisms that heavily rely on mangroves.
Leadership Fiji worked in partnership with the Ministry of Fisheries and Forestry and the Department of Environment on the project.
