Roads going from Lautoka to Ba are now open to all traffic.
The Fiji Roads Authority says roads going from Ba Bridge to Wailailai Bridge (Wailailai) Flats are accessible to 4x4 vehicles as the water level keeps rising.
They say roads from Wailailai Bridge to Tagitagi Bridge are open to all traffic, while the Tagitagi Bridge is underwater and closed to traffic.
Roads from Tagitagi Bridge to Tavua are open to traffic, while the road from Tavua to Yaladro junction are currently underwater and closed to all traffic.
Yaladro Junction to Korotale Road Junction in Rakiraki is currently open to all traffic, while Korotale Road Junction to Rakiraki Bridge is closed to all traffic.
From Rakiraki bridge to Nabulini (Western border) is open to all traffic.
FRA says isolated surface flooding may restrict the road to a single lane, and for optimal road safety during heavy rain, please exercise extreme caution.
They remind drivers to reduce their speed significantly, increase the distance between their vehicle and the one in front, and always use low-beam headlights as this will improve their visibility to other drivers on the road.
