Lautoka teacher and student reconcile in court

The case of a 37-year-old teacher who allegedly assaulted a seven-year-old student in December last year has been dismissed by the Lautoka Magistrates Court.

Divisional Police Commander West, Surend Sami confirms both parties reconciled in court yesterday.

The teacher was charged one count of assault causing actual bodily harm.

The alleged incident occurred at a primary school in Lautoka.
