Lautoka Zone: Natabua and Jasper Williams win Senior Boys and Girls 100 metres

Netani Teilo of Natabua High School and Peniana Koroiwaqalevu of Jasper Williams High School have won gold in the Senior Boys and Girls 100 metres at the Coca Cola Lautoka Zone.

Teilo ran a time of 11.08 seconds while Koroiwaqalevu ran a time of 13.48 seconds.

These are manual times.

Teilo says he sacrificed a lot in training as he started his preparation right from week 1.

He says he is looking forward to taking part in the Coca-Cola Games where he will be up against some of his friends.

Meanwhile, Koroiwaqalevu says she is targeting to claim gold in the Senior girls 100 metres at the Coca-Cola Games this year.

Meanwhile, Josefata Tuinavitilevu of Natabua High School broke the Intermediate Boys 100 metres zone record with a time of 10.89 seconds.

The previous record was held by Tyron Chambers who ran a time of 10.94 seconds.
