Lata wants to be the voice of vulnerable children

20-year-old Shayal Lata who is a Queen Contestant at the 2016 Lautoka Sugar Festival, wants to be the voice of those children who are vulnerable.

Lata who will be advocating on child abuse says that she believes that some children are not bold enough to voice issues affecting them.

Lata who is Miss Wilderness and Rides Amusement says this is a wonderful opportunity for her to work with other women in the country.

The 2016 Miss Sugar will be crowned at 7pm Saturday at Churchill Park.
