Any Fijian who is 18 years old and above before the Writ of Election is issued by the President today, can still register to vote.
The past election years has always seen a last minute rush by non-registered people eligible to vote.
If you have not registered, please ensure you go to one of the Fijian Elections Office registration centres today.
Voter registration will cease following the issue of the Writ, at the time prescribed by the Writ.
Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem says the snap voter registration drive will end at 6pm today.
Saneem highlighted this at a press conference today after the date of elections was confirmed by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama this morning.
He says to make it easier for voters, they will be extending some of their registration venues to open until 9 last night, and most of their venues for today will open at 7am to allow people time to reach them as they will be closing all registration venues at 6pm.
Saneem adds they expect a high number of people to turn up at their registration venues today for the last-minute rush.
Please also text your Voter ID card number to 1500 to check your polling station to vote on election day.

Postal voting application is now open to all overseas registered voters and voters who cannot be available during election day, while voter and political parties registration will close once the Writ of Election is issued tomorrow.
This was highlighted by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Mukesh Nand at a press conference today after the election date was confirmed by the Prime Minister.
He says every registered Fijian voter who is overseas will be required to apply for a postal vote, and application forms can be accessed at services.feo.org.fj
Nand says political party candidate nominations will begin following the issuance of the Writ of Election tomorrow and will close at 12pm on the 14th of November.
He adds if a candidate wants to withdraw their nominations, they may do so by 12 noon the next day.
The Chairperson says the FEO expects to operate 855 election day polling venues and 613 pre-poll venues around the country by employing 7,541 staff who have successfully completed the training of election officials, media and political parties, and also concluded the Know Your Election Voter Awareness Drive.
He says any person turning 18 years before the Writ of Election is issued can still register to vote.
Meanwhile, the Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem is reminding all those who will be applying for postal voting to ensure that their name and voter card number is similar to the ones on their voter cards.
He says as of the 28th of this month, there are 692,918 registered voters.
Saneem says this means the Fijian Election Office will have 613,794 voters for election day and 79,124 voters for pre-poll.
He adds postal voting application will close at 5pm on the 23rd of next month.
